The schedule for the 2022 World Series of Poker hasn’t been revealed yet, and it won’t be until January or February, but we know it will return to the summer following a one-year run in the fall.
Vaughn is regarded as one of the most well-known performers of the last two decades. In 1988, he made his acting debut in a Chevrolet commercial as a youngster. He traveled to Hollywood shortly after to chase his aspirations, and the rest is history.
Vaughn’s career took off in 1993 when he appeared in the inspiring college football film Rudy as a supporting character. He’d go on to star in blockbuster comedies like Dodgeball, Starsky & Hutch, and Wedding Crashers, among others.

The 51-year-old actor, who grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, has been nominated for an Academy Award. He’s also a two-time recipient of the People’s Choice Award (2006 for The Break Up and 2007).
Many high-profile Hollywood actors play poker, including Vaughn. Several of these prominent celebs, such as Ray Romano (shown above), Brad Garrett, and Kevin Pollak, attend the WSOP Main Event every summer.

Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Michael Phelps are just a handful of the celebrities that have competed in the yearly poker event. With Vaughn on board next summer, maybe some of these stars will return to the WSOP.
